Bienvenue!

I recently got my license, sometime in the month of March. I also happen to get a car for my birthday so I’ve been driving ever since. My boyfriend doesn’t have a car so I’m the one who picks him up when we’re going somewhere together.

What began as a pipe-dream, developed into a much larger project that I had ever imagined, and reached over 100 girls and 15 communities over the course of 3 months...has now reached its conclusion.

Figures.
I'm a lonely girl and socially awkward.
What I want most is what I can't get.
I want to be independent; I'm tired of being dependent on other people!
Why doesn't anybody get that?
This is just me trying to figure things out.

I'm not the insomniac type, but it looks like I'm needing the night to go over and over all those random things I have in mind. I don't want to be pesimistic, but looks like life is getting out of control (again). Too many things to take care of, and a couple of not very positive thoughts ruinning my days (and now, nights as well).

After an exciting, hilarious and amazing 2-day workshop with six incredible Sackville girls, we are exhausted! Total creativity took over, and what followed was an epic and hilarious 4-minute movie about a terrifying "Man-wich" taking over the town of Sackville...

Après un peu plus d’un an à Filles d’action, il est temps pour moi d’aller vers de nouveaux projets et de relever de nouveaux défis! C’est donc ici mon dernier blogue, pour lequel j’ai eu beaucoup de plaisir (mais aussi de frustrations...) à faire la recherche et la rédaction!

We are once again in New Brunswick, after successfully making if off the wonderful island of Prince Edward on the impressive Confederation Bridge! Thanks to Colin and LIndsay for being such amazing hosts, and again to Frances for all her hard work making Charlottetown a real highlight for us...

This Charlottetown workshop has been absolutely AMAZING! After having some great group discussions about inequalities the girls were feeling in the way they were treated, we set out to make an entire documentary about their different experiences

Jes, Rebecca, Amy, Emma, Brooke, Nadia, Laura, Danielle, Mary Kathleen, Halen, and Kayla are off for a stroll around the Charlottetown waterfront!

It's true--we are officially heading WEST for the very first time!
We left St. John's, headed to the historic town of Trinity, NL in what turned out to be the cutest little old fishing town, with beautifully restored bright houses, old fishing boats for sale, and docks leading into the Atlantic.

Just like the title of this post suggests, REAL GIRLS ROCK!!! That is the name of the movie we just finished here in St. John's, Newfoundland, where 6 incredible girls came up with an awesome movie entirely on their own!
